More coronavirus restrictions are coming in by the day, with a second lockdown potentially looming large.
As a result, stores have been stepping up to make sure that there won’t be a repeat of the panic buying situation that happened last time.
Supermarket Morrisons today announced a subscription service option, letting customers guarantee food box deliveries weekly, fortnightly, or monthly without needing to wrangle a delivery slot.
Morrisons’ food box range includes; a series of weekly ‘food parcel’ style boxes for meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and those with food intolerances, and fruit, meat, and fish boxes.
There’s also a new ‘feed a family’ recipe box, which will give you the ingredients and method for five dinners for four – priced at £30 (or £1.50 per meal).
The meals included are spaghetti bolognese, vegetable pasta bake, rosti-topped cottage pie, sausage tray bake, and veggie chilli with wedges.
Those who choose to go for a subscription will get a 5% discount on the cost of a one-off box. So, the family recipe box would cost £28.50 instead.
You can also get an extra 20% off which will apply to the first shop with the code is BOX154864P.
Aidan Buckley, Director of Food to Order, for Morrisons said: ‘Customers use our food box service to get fresh food and cupboard essentials delivered to their doorstep quickly.
‘We are making the service simpler and even better value to ensure everyone can get access to affordable food at this difficult time.’
All boxes are ordered online and delivered to customers doors the next day by DPD. Browse the range here.
