It will come as a shock to no one that us Brits are big fans of Lotus Biscoff spread.
We put it on everything – toast, biscuits, porridge – and craft delights ranging from three-ingredient cakes to sweet lasagnes (sounds weird but it’s delish, promise).
And any new item with Lotus on the packaging will be snapped up sharpish.
So we eagerly anticipate any new product launch involving that caramelised biscuit flavour.
It’s no different for this upcoming launch, which combines the joy of Lotus Biscoff flavours with the brilliance of an ice cream cake.
Behold the Lotus Biscoff Ice Cream Cake. It’s a bit like a Viennetta, but not officially.
The dessert combines swirls of Lotus Biscoff Ice Cream with Lotus spread and crispy chocolate layers, all topped off with crunchy Lotus Biscoff biscuit pieces.
Basically, if you love Lotus Biscoff, you’ll love this.
The new cake isn’t available just yet, though, so don’t rush out to your supermarket right away.
It’ll launch exclusively in Iceland and Food Warehouse stores from March 24 – in good time to help us through the rest of lockdown.
A full cake will cost £3. It’s designed to be shared, but we won’t judge anyone who devours one all by themselves.
It’s a pandemic. Anything goes.
