The 37-year-old even had a recipe for using up her leftover potatoes – and it sounds delicious.
Back in her Suits days, Meghan revealed to Grazia her tips for hosting Christmas with friends.
She revealed that she was often left with uneaten food the next day, explaining: "If you're like me, you end up buying way too much of everything for holiday meals."
To use up her spuds, the now-Duchess of Sussex made maple-glazed potato wedges.
Slicing up her sweet potatoes, she'd add lemon, maple syrup and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
Want to make Meghan's potatoes for yourself on Boxing Day? Here's what you'll need:
- Two medium sweet potatoes (or non-sweet potatoes if you prefer)
- Two tbsp of olive oil
- Juice of half a lemon
- One tbsp of maple syrup
- Half a tsp of cayenne pepper
- Himalayan sea salt
- A handful of pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
At the time, Meghan told the publication that she sliced her potatoes into wedges, before coating them with oil, lemon juice and maple syrup.
She'd then give them a toss and add a sprinkle of cayenne and salt.
The next step involved laying the potatoes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and baking for half an hour at 220° Celsius.
At the 15 minute mark, she tossed them and added a handful of pepitas for "crunch and texture".
Not sure you can justify spending even more on food this festive season? Meghan's recipe is actually pretty affordable.
Most of you probably already have olive oil and salt in your home – even if it's not of the Himalayan variety – and you can buy the rest of the ingredients in the supermarket for around £4.
You'll have plenty left over, so you can continue to make the potatoes throughout the festive season.
At the time, Meghan said: "Whether you have leftover sweet potatoes or simply want to revamp the classic holiday side, these maple-glazed potato wedges are crave-worthy.
"With the slight kick from cayenne and the brightness of the added lemon, they will be a crowd favourite."
We don't doubt it.
In more royal news, Meghan threw a party when she became famous to 'get rid of her cheap clothes', US reports claim.
The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry's baby 'will not carry out full-time royal duties and be expected to work for a living', a royal commentator says.
And throwback photos of Prince William with a beard have emerged… and fans can't get over how hot he looks.
