Queen Camilla turns heads in ‘beautiful’ Fiona Clare red dress today

Queen Camilla and King Charles attended a ceremony to present the new Standards and Colours to the Royal Navy, the Life Guards of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, The King’s Company of the Grenadier Guards and The King’s Colour Squadron of the Royal Air Force at Buckingham Palace today. The Queen Consort wore a gorgeous red dress from Fiona Clare for the occasion.

Queen Camilla looked “beautiful in red” today, according to royal fan @dagmar_Marie77 on Twitter.

The Queen Consort opted for a red Fiona Clare dress that she has worn many times before.

Her Fiona Clare dress’s vertical stripes at the top served to lengthen Camilla’s body, and the colour red was a great option for making the Queen Consort stand out.

For footwear, Camilla chose to wear her favourite black boots by Russell & Bromley.

These calf-high riding boots have a curved topline, a low stacked heel, and are made from black suede material.

To accessorise, the Queen Consort wore a red hat designed by Phillip Treacy.

The red hat perfectly matched her red Fiona Clare dress, meaning that Queen Camilla wore a monochrome look.

Monochrome looks were popularised by the late Queen Elizabeth II, who believed she had to be “seen to be believed”.

Queen Camilla also paid tribute to the late monarch with her brooch.

She chose to wear Queen Elizabeth II’s Grenadier Guard Brooch for today’s ceremony.

The Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish, and Welsh Guards badges are combined in the brooch, which forms an oval frame.

Originally created for Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth began wearing the brooch in 1987.

She tended to always wear the brooch at Trooping The Colour, even wearing it during her Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

This was a sweet nod by Queen Camilla to the late monarch who is continuing the tradition of wearing historical jewels worn by previous royals.

Royal fans loved Queen Camilla’s red ensemble and took to social media to praise her style.
