Meghan Markle latest – Duchess ordered to SHUT UP by Queen's cousin who blasts young royals for 'airing dirty linen'

A COUSIN of the Queen has blasted young royals who "wash their dirty linen in public" in a not-so veiled dig at Meghan Markle.

Princess Olga Andreevna Romanoff was asked about younger royals seem openly discussing their grievances in the warped hope it will "modernise" the Royal Family during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine this week.

On the show, Lorraine said: "[The Queen's] children have given extensive TV interviews, we have seen that.

"Do you think that is the way ahead to modernise the Royal Family or do you just think people should shh?"

Appearing to refer to Meghan and Harry's bombshell with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, Princess Olga replied "I was told to sit down and shut up and never wash your dirty linen in public, whatever it happens to be.

"So I think the Queen does it right."

PHILIP'S 992 PATRONAGES WILL NOT BE PASSED DOWN TO OTHER ROYAL FAMILY MEMBERS

Prince Philip’s 992 patronages WON’T be passed down to other Royals amid plans to “slim down” the monarchy, Meghan Markle’s pal has claimed.

Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie said that many of the Duke of Edinburgh’s patronages could be retired as working royals take on more significant roles in fewer charities.

There are over 2,800 organisations in the UK which have a royal patron.

Prince Philip, who died last month, was associated with 992 different organisations either as patron, president or honorary member.

MEGHAN AIDE ‘TRIED TO PROTECT HER FATHER FROM MEDIA INTRUSION’

The Duchess of Sussex’s former communications secretary “led extensive efforts” to defend her reputation and “protect her father from media intrusion”, according to a letter sent to the Mail On Sunday’s lawyers.

Jason Knauf “repeatedly” spoke to Meghan’s estranged father Thomas Markle and directly contacted media organisations to “object to intrusions into Mr Markle’s privacy” from 2016, his lawyers said in a letter last month.

Mr Knauf also advised that “a reference to Mr Markle’s ill-health be included” in a letter sent by the duchess to her father in August 2018, which his solicitors described as “only a very minor suggestion”.

But Mr Knauf “did not suggest any specific wording” and “did not draft, and has never claimed to have drafted, any parts of” the letter to Mr Markle, his lawyers Addleshaw Goddard said.

Mr Knauf, who now works as the chief executive of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has been dragged into his former employer’s High Court battle with the publisher of the Mail On Sunday.

    DIFFICULT RELATIONSHIP WITH FATHER

“So it is an odd thing to have done.

“She is on dodgy ground because of her relationship with her father and Harry with his.

SUSSEXES SLAMMED OVER SOCIAL MEDIA ‘GOOD PUBLICITY’ BID

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “make everything a publicity stunt” in order to make them “look good on social media,” a royal expert claims.

This comes after a spokesperson for the Sussexes recently confirmed the couple had “privately congratulated” the Cambridges on their 10 year marriage milestone.

Phil Dampier, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan In Their Own Words, said: “The Queen and Prince Charles made their messages of congratulations to William and Kate on their tenth anniversary in public so why didn’t Harry and Meghan?

“Instead they relied on their spokespeople leaking out the fact they sent a message, making it look manipulated and contrived.”

WHAT DID MEGHAN SAY IN HER MOTHER'S DAY MESSAGE?

Meghan Markle made a generous Mother's Day donation to homeless mothers.

In a video message she said: "Today, we are thrilled to have the support of Archewell Foundation, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Procter & Gamble, who are donating diapers, cleaning supplies, and other essential items to ensure that the moms and babies at Harvest Home are celebrated all throughout the year."

"As a mum, and an expectant mom, I deeply appreciate the significance of community support, safe and accessible pregnancy resources, and trusted guidance in a nurturing setting," Meghan said.

DUCHESS ‘NERVOUS’ IN TV VAX APPEARANCE AFTER OPRAH TELL-ALL… MORE

Body language expert Judi James also said Meghan’s speech was not her usual style.

“Meghan’s rather static delivery did lack her usual cues of passion for her causes and it did look more ‘guru’ than political leader – although she appeared to become more comfortable as the speech progressed.

“It was during the last segment that the camera moved into close-up and she performed a micro-wriggle to suggest she was settling into her more normal, persuasive style of delivery. Her smile intensified, with a puckered corner of her mouth suggesting she had begun to enjoy herself.

“Overall, there were some sign of nerves and body language tension, with a regal, careful look at the start but as she warmed to her theme the slightly more relaxed and eloquent non-verbal signals took over and her signature persuasive style returned.”

    MEGHAN TRAINED BY QUEEN

Finding Freedom authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed that Meghan got training by the Queen.

They said: “She made sure Meghan knew what was going on and made her feel very much at home because it was her first trip.

“Indeed, before the two stepped off the train, the Queen gifted Meghan with a delicate pair of pearl-and-diamond earrings.

“Meghan, an avid learner studying all she could on royal protocol, was often seen carrying binders full of research so she didn’t put a foot wrong.”

    ARCHIE IS LEARNING TO COUNT

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son is already learning how to count and “keeps saying two”, according to royal sources.

It comes after little Archie celebrated his second birthday earlier this week, with video calls to the Queen, Prince William and Kate.

A royal source said the reason for the donation drive is to teach young Archie how to be charitable.

They told US Weekly: “They want Archie to grow up understanding the importance of giving back.

“Harry and Meghan feel so blessed to have such an articulate and caring child. Archie is learning to count already and keeps saying, ‘Two!’”
