MOVING and getting new furniture can be stressful, but renovating a new home can feel even more overwhelming — and expensive.
Luckily, TikTok creators found an unlikely hack to get the perfect closet — using affordable Ikea items.
Digital users @ourfirstterracedhouse are on a mission to document the process of renovating their home with fun decor, DIY projects, and home inspiration.
According to their profile, the space is a three bedroom, terracedhome — in much need of sprucing up.
In previous TikTok videos, the couple shared they couldn't find affordable, built-in wardrobes.
So, the TikTokers put their resourcefulness to the test and found a crafty loophole around costly wardrobes.

Walk-in wardrobes, which are costly, will instantly make your home look more expensive due to their high price tag.
However, custom-made wardrobes can range anywhere from $1,000 to $4,000 — or more.
In their viral video, they showcased how to save on this home fixture and what the empty closet space looked like before the fix.
The couple added in a stage for the Ikea wardrobes, to give them an elevated look.

In the comments, they shared they used the TYSSEDAL pieces ($155) in white/ glass.
The thrifty DIY-ers then added wood boards to cover the space around the wardrobe.
They filled the holes with spackling and then painted over the wood boards with white paint.
The end result looked completely different than the original space.
The finished wall-to-wall wardrobe looked professionally built — all for a fraction of the cost.
The wardrobe also displayed colorful shoes, hanging dresses, and purses.
TikTok users raved about this hack in the comments.
