I’m a size 16 with lower belly weight & tried Kim Kardashian’s Skims – I had to fight for my life to put it on | The Sun

A WOMAN who wears a size 16 and has some lower tummy fat has tried Skims on to see if it's worth the hype.

One of the pieces was quite difficult to put on though, and Cinthia wasn't completely a fan of it.

"Let's do a Skims try-on on my size 16 body," Cinthia said at the beginning of her social media video.

First, she showed her 52k followers what her body looks like with no shapewear on.

"I'm going to be testing a couple of outfits just to see how the shapewear makes [them] look," she said.

"I personally hate seeing my belly button or panty line through outfits, so I'm really interested to see how they all compare.

I’m plus-size & tried Skims in a 2X but could only fit it over one leg

"I haven't worn jeans in a really long time, but I'm roughly a size 16, and because I do have PCOS, most of my weight is in my lower belly."

First, Cinthia tried on Skims's Solution Short #2 ($42).

Since the piece is shorter on one side, the content creator said it's "perfect for dresses and skirts with high slits."

Speaking on some downsides of the body sculpting shorts, she said: "I do wish the waistband was wider or had a second layer grip because these kept falling down."

After trying the shapewear on with a dress, she explained that she "saw a noticeable difference in the tummy" but "because the band was so tight, it just made a crease higher up than [she] normally would've liked."

Next, Cinthia tried on Skims's Sculpting Bodysuit Mid Thigh W. Open Gusset ($68).

"I do feel that this one is visibly smoothing, but I don't know that I necessarily feel snatched," she said of the shapewear.

"I also feel like I had to fight for my life to put it on."

Trying the piece on with jeans, she decided she wished there was "a little more back coverage."

Viewers in the comments section of Cinthia's video were grateful for the try-on haul, like one who wrote: "Thank you for the thorough try-on. I know people who swear by them but they are skinny already.

"I was going to splurge but maybe I won’t."

Another added: "I also have PCOS and carry my weight in the same place. This was super helpful for seeing how it would fit on my body type! Thanks!"
