A 45-year-old mum-of-five has hit back at cruel trolls who accuse her of being "mutton dressed as lamb."

Claire Mcgougan, who posts under the handle @claire_m_mcgougan, took to TikTok and posted a video in response to a comment she received which read: "Three adults kids and a grandson – omg how old are you?"

In the clip, she responds: "I've seen your comment and I really don't know how to take it.

"I don't know whether you're being nice or a bit derogative on this one…three adult kids?

"Yes, I have three adults kids who are in their twenties and two younger sons who are seven and eight, and yes I also have a grandson who is one on 21st February.

"And you want to know how old I am?

"Well, I'm 46-year-old this year on 3rd July…I hope that satisfies your curiosity."

In a second clip, Claire then hits back at someone who wrote: "I'm not on here day and night looking like a dog's dinner arguing with people.

Claire then responds by saying: "Maybe if we wait just a little bit longer, a f*** will fall into my hand and I can give it to you."

Elsewhere, she brushes off a comment from another troll who says: "Mutton dressed as lamb."

The posts have racked up thousands of views between them and been inundated with comments – with many defending Claire and reassuring her the trolls are just "jealous."

"Wow I’ve just came across your page and there’s smh & jealousy. Good for you standing up for yourself," wrote one.

A second commented: "Wow! jealousy runs deep in some people. you always be you beautiful woman!"

A third penned: "You're gorgeous! The negative comments are just jealously plain and simple."

Meanwhile, a fourth quipped: "Love mutton!"

Another added: "You're great hun ignore the jealousy."
