MARKS & Spencer is often considered one of the pricier places to do your weekly food shop.

But one mum-of-three was left shocked after managing to buy £16 items for just £17.48 during her latest trip to the supermarket – and claimed it's even cheaper than Aldi.

Emma (@emmalouise1981) took to TikTok and shared a video of the food items she bought from Marks & Spencer – including two lots of of £1.20 chicken legs, five packets of £2 beef mince and a £4 rump steak.

She also paid 50p each for tomato soup, cream of chicken soup and a bag of carrots, and £1 each for a bag of white potatoes and punnet of mushrooms.

Emma, who claimed the comparison was made on the same weight/quality of food, captioned the post: "All this cheaper than Aldi with some savings on my Sparks Card too.

"£17.48 for 16 items."
