Meghan Markle’s maternity style has been praised by fashion experts for its “regal” touch. Elizabeth Holmes, style journalist and author of ‘HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style’, looked back on the Duchess of Sussex’s standout fashion moments from her first pregnancy. This comes after Meghan confirmed that she is expecting her second child with Prince Harry.
Ms Holmes told Access Hollywood: “When they were on tour in Fiji, she stepped out for this evening event in a gorgeous shade of blue.
“It was the shade of the Fijian flag.
“That was in the very early days of her pregnancy, we couldn’t really see much.
“But she turned to the side, and I remember she sort of put her arms down by her hips.”
The expert continued: “Suddenly we got this glimpse of a bump and everybody went nuts.
“It’s such a regal silhouette and was so beautiful on her.”
The dress was designed by SAFiYAA and featured a floor-length cape silhouette.
She wore it to an official State Dinner with the President of Fiji Jioji Konrote.
