Meghan Markle, who gave birth to her second child on Friday, is known for her enviable style including her pieces of jewellery. She regularly wears her initial necklace, which has a very special meaning behind it.
The Duchess first wore her gold initial necklace when she was dating Prince Harry.
Meghan tends to wear gold pieces of jewellery including necklaces, rings and bracelets.
The piece from Maya Brenner featured one “H” initial at the time as well as an “M”.
It was thought to be a subtle way to confirm the royal romance after rumours that she had been dating Prince Harry.
The piece is made from solid 14-carat gold and is made to order in Los Angeles.
The Maya Brenner brand is also stocked in Harvey Nichols, with the initial necklace starting at £200 for one initial.
The designer admitted she found it “a little nerve-wracking” when she saw the actress wearing one of her pieces.
It has been one of the brand’s best-sellers since its launch in 2008, and is popular among many different celebrities including Holly Willoughby.

Other celebrities who have worn the piece include Mila Kunis, Frankie Bridge, Fearne Cotton, Jodie Kidd and Tess Daly.
When Meghan attended Wimbledon in 2019, she was seen wearing a new initial necklace with an “A” on it.
It was thought to be a tribute to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The piece from Aurum + Grey comes in a variety of different colours and the Duchess had it in gold.
Prices start at £145 and range up to £200 for the necklace.
Now having given birth to their second child, another initial could soon be added to the chain.
Meghan and Harry welcomed their daughter on Friday and the news was announced yesterday.
The couple decided to call their second child Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor in a sweet nod to the Queen as well as Princess Diana.
The sentimental piece has become a popular subtle way to give a nod to loved ones, and Meghan regularly adds the piece to her outfits.
Fans regularly comment on how “elegant” the piece is and love it when she adds it to her looks.
As well as sentimental necklaces, the Duchess has a beautiful engagement ring from Prince Harry in her collection.
It featured a trilogy of stones and consisted of a diamond from Botswana as well as a jewel from Princess Diana’s collection.
In 2019, it was redesigned to be fitted with a new diamond-studded gold band and the ring is thought to be worth between £120,000 and £250,000.
