Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, often stuns fans with her outfits for both formal and casual events. The royal also isn’t afraid of recycling outfits and wearing affordable high-street clothing brands.

Kate Middleton joined the Royal Family in 2011 when she married Prince William in Westminster Abbey.

Since then, the Duchess has showcased her huge wardrobe, which contains a mix of designer pieces and high-street brands.

Her style as a royal has also evolved, according to one expert.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Lucy Ansa-Addo, Director of Laoxa Ltd, explained that Kate will often add her own twist on an outfit while respecting tradition.

She explained: “Kate beautifully rocks high-end garments and high-street designs from Zara, ASOS and GAP.

“She always looks chic and elegant and she effortlessly dresses to impress, her overall style is regal.”

Being a member of the Royal Family means there is certain protocol when it comes to style including wearing skirts of appropriate length and jeans tending to only be worn for casual events.

Kate will also respect tradition by wearing her pearls, according to the expert.

Lucy said: “The Duchess still respectfully follows tradition where possible with her style by wearing pearl earrings for more formal events and engagements.

“However, she knows how to add her own twist depending on the occasion.”

Pearls have been a popular piece of jewellery for several years, with Queen Elizabeth seen first wearing them at the age of just three-years-old.

The monarch adds pearls to her looks so often that they are now considered to be part of her uniform.

The expert added: “The Duchess stuns even more when she is channeling Princess Diana or paying homage to her through her signature style.

“Adopting to the same hues, details and silhouettes.”

Kate was recently seen wearing a bright blue blazer while on a trip in Scotland with William, and Princess Diana also had a similar looking blazer.

Lucy went on: “We love when Kate dresses down in casual wear from jeans, sneakers, sweaters and t-shirts.

“Although the Duchess is known for her stunning dresses and her chic style, it’s always great to see her in more relaxed clothing.

“Motherhood is most likely the reason for this and of course for a much more practical look, she becomes more relatable.

“Kate’s style has become more sophisticated and more chic since becoming a royal.

“We still get to see elements of her previous style – but a more polished version, which we love to see and look forward to seeing more.”
