Driving in flip flops, littering, not cleaning up after your dog , erm, firing a cannon – all of these can land you with a fine.
Because who wants to live in a world where the streets are strewn with rubbish and poo, where the roads are unsafe and the noise of cannon fire is deafening?
The law is, by and large, reasonable and makes total sense.
But when woman recently got landed with a $100 fine, she was left absolutely flabbergasted.
Her car had left a penis imprint in the snow. Here it is in all its glory:
Lamenting the incident on Reddit , Kathryn, the car owner wrote: "A few weeks ago we got a pitiful little snow that was barely really a frost. Just enough to cause a little trouble of the roads but nothing severe. So my husband and I go out, get in our cars, and leave for the work day.
"Awhile later, we get an email from the HOA [Home Owners Association] saying we are being fined for something.
"They aren’t very specific at first, but they are saying it’s about the snow and our cars. We are very confused. There is not enough snow to shovel, as you will soon see.
"Finally after a few back and forth emails, they simply send us a picture ‘describing the problem’."
According to LAD Bible , the email read: "Your car, specifically the Honda, left this offensive image on the ground after you left.
"I believe you will see why we have had complaints about it. One of our residents took the photo and reported it to us out of concern for our younger residents."
Unsurprisingly, Kathryn, from Tennessee, disputed the email, and replied saying she couldn’t really control the shape her car makes.
Luckily the HOA backed down quickly, and said: "We understand. We will not be pursuing this further, in good faith pursuant to the wording of the by-laws."
