A pregnant mum has explained her controversial decision not to vaccinate her children .
Shanelle Cartwright, who is married to Australian rugby player Bryce Cartwright, has made the decision as she believes she is still "healing" from being vaccinated herself.
The 20-year-old also said she will home-school her son and unborn child if being un-vaccinated means they are unable to attend.
Speaking in a Q&A on social media, she also revealed that she won’t use nappies with her new baby and will teach them to go to the loo in the garden instead.
The couple, who have 13-month-old Koa and are 39 weeks pregnant with their second child, claim to have done a huge amount of research.
Shanelle said: "I remember he (Bryce) was so defensive when I first brought it up and got angry at me for even suggesting that we shouldn’t vaccinate.
"And then he read a package insert and few pages of one of Dr Suzanne Humphries books and saw vaccines under a different light. And now we’re here."
Both Shanelle and Bryce are vaccinated themselves but suffer from "allergies and auto-immune disorders".
Shanelle said: "We now obviously don’t vaccinate ourselves and are in the (slooooow) process of healing."
When asked what baby products they use, Shanelle revealed that she won’t be using nappies and plans to teach their new arrival to do "elimination communication".
She wrote: "For this baby we are going to try no nappies and do elimination communication, especially if we have a girl.
"All mammals will instinctively NOT soil their nest and will eliminate where mum tells them to.
"You don’t shit your pants because you know it’s uncomfortable and yucky.
"Just like you teach a kitten to go in a litter box or a puppy to only go outside – you teach a baby the same."
Her posts have attracted a huge number of comments online.
As well as receiving a number of negative messages, she’s also had messages of support from parents who have made the same decision regarding vaccinating their children.
