Throughout its near-40 years on shelves, the Air Jordan 1 has evolved in countless different ways. For starters, its initial colorways have been elaborated upon with unique twists and reimagined approaches. Beyond that, collaborations have served as an opportunity to fuse one identity with another while complete overhauls of the model have breathed new life into the classic design.
Joining recent additions to the AJ1 family such as the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 and Air Jordan 1 Elevate High, the Air Jordan 1 MM High has arrived. Revealed by Jordan Brand earlier this week, it utilizes cracked leather alongside a deconstructed aesthetic akin to the “Craft” series of AJ1s. In its second look to appear, the shoe takes on the “Royal Toe” treatment, blending “Game Royal” hits with black and white. Canvas layers appear at the midfoot in white and collar in blue while cracked leather appears at the blue toe box and Swooshes, the black overlays and white heel. A white foam tongue matches the laces and midsole while a “Game Royal” rubber outsole rounds out the look.
As of now, Nike has yet to officially announce the Air Jordan 1 MM High, including this “Royal Toe” colorway. However, we expect to learn more about the silhouette in the coming weeks with this look hitting shelves via Nike by the end of 2023 at a price of $155 USD.
Stay tuned for updates and for more of the latest headlines from the footwear industry, it’s almost time for the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy” to make its return with Nike revealing the shoe’s official imagery ahead of its drop later this month.
