Stacey Solomon recently enjoyed a luxury family holiday to Abu Dhabi, and kept her millions of followers on Instagram up to date with a sneak peek at her getaway.
In our current age of social media, it’s pretty standard to flaunt your vacation pics all over the ‘gram. If there’s not at least one golden hour snap on the grid then did you even go on holiday?
However, Stacey, 33, has admitted to feeling guilty for sharing her own trip due to the expense, especially as the UK is experiencing a cost of living crisis.
During a Q+A on her Instagram stories, one fan wrote: ‘Not a question but love seeing all your content.’
A grateful Stacey responded: ‘So many of these messages & they really mean a lot.’
She continued: ‘I worry so much sharing sometimes because I know it’s really [rubbish] out there for lots of people & holidays are super expensive & lots of people are unable to go.
‘So I’d never want to make anyone feel rubbish. But all of your lovely messages have just made me so happy and so glad I shared it all with you guys.’
Stacey, who has 5.6 million followers on Instagram, is often praised for keeping things realistic on social media.
Stacey’s fans praised her for the unedited snaps and videos, and unfiltered commentary on the trip with husband Joe Swash, 41, and their children Rex, three, Rose, one, and Belle who was born in February this year.
Stacey’s children Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships, and her dad David also joined in the family fun.
One person commented on a video montage of the trip: ‘Thank you for normalising a mother’s body! It can be hard to look at sometimes, but we grew life,’ which was liked over 1000 times.
Another person was honest about the jealousy she sometimes experiences. ‘I find it hard to look at a lot of your content because I wish I had a beautiful home, husband and life and I feel envy when I see yours’. They added, ‘But I watch and follow you because you really are a fabulous, warm, energetic, nurturing mother.’
Stacey shared money-saving tips from the trip during the Q+A session. The savvy star brought snacks from home, and made the most of being half-board by only eating out at a restaurant once.
