A clip from family favourite Sesame Street has sparked confusion on social media as viewers debate whether one of the muppets dropped an "F-bomb".
Posted on Reddit and widely shared on Twitter, the footage shows fluffy character Grover saying what some believe sounds like "yes, yes that’s a f***ing excellent idea".
However, other users insist the muppet simply says "Yes, yes, that sounds like an excellent idea."
The post titled "Seriously did Grover just drop the Fbomb??" has over 100,000 upvotes on the forum, with many claiming they can hear whichever one they have in mind at that moment.
Several pointed out that Grover can’t possibly be swearing, as it’s a children’s television programme so it simply wouldn’t be allowed.
The video has confused thousands of online viewers, with Youtuber Evan Edinger writing on Twitter: "I can hear both depending on which one I’m thinking in my head!"
Many commented on the ambiguous clip with their opinion on the matter, with some even claiming that this could be the next "Yanni or Laurel" soundbite.
In the case of Yanny or Laurel, the reason for people being able to hear only one of the two names was said to be down to the frequency sensitivity of the individual’s ears.
For example, older people who lack high frequency sensitivity are more likely to hear Yanny, while younger ears are more likely to hear Laurel.
