Riding on the success of their new duet “I Like You (A Happier Song),” Post Malone and Doja Cat have dropped off an official video for the bouncy track, directed by child.
The visual sees Malone in the role of an artist creating grand, colorful paintings in a sunlit studio decked out with Vincent Van Gogh’s Almond Blossom wallpaper. Outside the workroom, the chart-topper finds himself working on a sketch in an open field, where Doja Cat models for him with flowers covering her body and later runs topless through a flowery meadow. In the video’s conclusion, a French voiceover says, “Let’s move forward with passion, with desire, and love.”
“I Like You (A Happier Song),” which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, marks the third single from Posty’s album, Twelve Carat Toothache. The record, which also hosts “One Right Now,” featuring The Weeknd, and “Cooped Up,” with Roddy Ricch, is Malone’s fourth studio album. The aforementioned collaborators, along with Gunna, Fleet Foxes and the Kid Laroi, will join Posty on his forthcoming Twelve Carat Toothache tour.
