Only Nine "Heritage Edition" BMW 8-Series Will be Sold in Australia

BMW has just announced that it will be releasing a very limited number of 8-Series Heritage Editions in Australia.

In celebration of the legendary E31 that was released three decades ago, this new limited production will see just nine examples spread across three body styles —the G16 Gran Coupe, G15 Coupe, and G14 Convertible. Clad in three choices of paint — Frozen Marina Bay Blue, Frozen Black, and Frozen Dark Silver — each Heritage Edition BMW 840i will see a trim that contains standard M Sport specs like an M Sport rear differential, M Sport brakes, M-tuned suspension, and a custom interior.

Interior enhancements arrive in the form of Walknappa leather door trimming, a Piano Black dashboard, an M Alcantara headliner, and a gear lever, iDrive knob, engine start button and volume controller all done in CraftedClarity glass. All of these rear-wheel models are power by a turbocharged 6-cylinder that makes 335 hp and 368 ft-lb of torque.

These won’t be cheap as it is expected that the BMW 8-Series Heritage Edition will be priced from $139,000 – $152,000 USD. Delivery in Australia is expected for Q4 this year.
