Prior to becoming an NBA superstar, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić dominated the EuroLeague with Real Madrid. Notably, the Spanish basketball club secured its tenth Euro Cup thanks to Dončić’s contributions in 2018. Since signing on with Jordan Brand, the blossoming star has looked back at his time in Europe with looks such as the Air Jordan 36 “El Matador.”
Now, as part of the Jordan Luka 2’s rollout, a “Matador” colorway has been prepared. Key technology such as the full-length Formula 23 cushioning and an IsoPlate for balance are hidden beneath the shoe’s layers of blueish-green. Its upper leverages a blend of suede, mesh and leather while hits of gold give the pair a regal finish, landing at the tongue, a portion of the midsole and at the Jumpman logos on each side.
As described in Nike’s announcement of the Jordan Luka 2, the “Matador” colorway is scheduled to touch down on shelves starting August 3. Look for it to be made available via Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers at a price of $140 USD.
