Marvel Studios is back with a new official trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings, giving fans an additional glimpse of the action-filled plot that is to be expected.
The trailer dives deeper into Shang-Chi’s story in the MCU. Shang-Chi, who is played by Simu Liu, is the heir to a martial arts legacy as well as the son of the villain, Wenwu. Joining the cast are other prominent Asian stars Michelle Yeoh, Awkwafina, Fala Chen and Ronny Chieng. Throughout the film, Shang-Chi is physically and mentally tested as he goes through the motions of confronting his past. As he finds himself drawn into the mysterious Ten Rings organization, he must find a way to embrace his roots.
Shang-Chi is a groundbreaking Marvel project, featuring its first Asian lead in the MCU. The film will also be the studio’s first to debut exclusively in theaters in over two years. The release of Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings is slated to hit theaters this Fall on September 3.
