Following weeks of teasers and the first look at Jared Leto as the Joker, HBO has now delivered the official trailer for Justice League: The Snyder Cut. Set to come after heavy fan campaigning and being delayed, the upcoming four-hour release serves as director Zack Snyder‘s vision for the DC Extended Universe tie-in film. Snyder left the original project that released back in 2017 during post-production, with stand-in director Joss Whedon significantly altering the direction of the movie.
The official trailer promoting the upcoming premiere on HBO Max once again shows off the darker, gritty tone of Snyder’s rendition. Led by narration from Jesse Eisenberg‘s Lex Luthor, we get a glimpse at some of the extra footage recently shot that has pushed the new version to over four hours. But it is the end of the clip that really has fans talking. Slipping back into Bruce Wayne’s premonition of a dystopian future, Batman is met by a swat gear clad Joker who asks the Caped Crusader a poignant question.
