H. Moser & Cie. Premieres a Smoked Salmon Fumé Dial in Its Latest Streamliner Model

Expanding its Streamliner collection, independent horologer H. Moser & Cie. has just introduced its latest offering — the Streamliner Centre Seconds Smoked Salmon.

Elevating the classic salmon hue with a tinge of smokiness, the fumé dial also shifts from a chocolate hue to a luscious gold tone with every moment of the wrist. Although the actual color of the dial may vary from the general impression of what is considered “salmon-colored,” the Maison’s CEO, Edouard Meylan explains that “Our inspiration does not come from the traditional Atlantic salmon, or “Salmo salar” to give it its Latin name, but from its very rare cousin, the ‘Oncorhynchus kisutch’.” He adds, “Each individual fish is smoked using a secret recipe made using Scottish whisky. This is what gives the flesh this exceptional color, and is the inspiration behind our new dial.”

Arriving in a slightly smaller 40mm case size, the new timepiece is housed in a cushion-shaped, and ergonomically designed stainless steel case. Through the see-through caseback, the HMC 200 automatic calibre houses a solid gold oscillating weight and three-day power reserve.

Available for one year only, the Smoked Salmon Streamliner Centre Seconds can be found at Moser’s website for the price of $21,900 USD.
