Alison Hammond had her say after news broke that a man had been arrested on suspicion of blackmail over the weekend.
The 48-year-old presenter was all smiles on Instagram on Monday as she uploaded a video of herself lying in bed.
Over the top of the video selfie, she attached an audio clip of a male voice that could be heard saying: ‘You want to know four main reasons why I will always win?
‘I don’t hate on nobody, I pray, I stay in my own lane, and lastly, I’m not competing with nobody expect for myself.’
She flashed a peace sign to the camera in the footage that also featured a glittering filter and captioned the post with a red love heart.
Alison was radiant and glowing in the Instagram Story that saw her wear a blue and navy spotted shirt as well as a black and white polka dot headband.
She wore minimal makeup on her face and accessorised with a pair of thin silver hoop earrings.
Her social media statement came after the West Midlands Police said a 36-year-old-man from Warwickshire was arrested on suspicion of blackmail on Saturday evening.
On Sunday evening the force said that he was being held in custody for questioning and was later released on conditional bail.
The Sun reported the mother-of-one was put under pressure by her blackmailer, who threatened to spread lies about her in an effort to damage her career if she did not co-operate with the demands.
Elsewhere, the star appeared to confirm she was single during a segment on ITV’s This Morning after she showed off her ‘single ring’ to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Her declaration that she was wearing the green jewellery as a symbol of her singledom further fuelled speculation she had called it quits for good with partner Ben Hawkins.
Alison made her feelings known while the hosts discussed dating apps: ‘More people are wanting to meet people out and about and having a green ring might be a good idea so that people know you’re single.
‘As you can see, I’ve got my single ring on.’
