Death Row Records is commemorating its 30th anniversary with a series of limited edition non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and merchandise.
To kick off the celebrations, the influential hip-hop label is releasing the first series of its blockchain-based NFTs. The “Death Row Series 1: Nobody Does It Better” NFTs are split into three tiers with different price points. The most expensive option, priced at $30,030.30 USD, will only be offered to three buyers and includes an ultra-rare 30th anniversary diamond medallion and necklace NFT, an exclusive audio bed of Nate Dogg’s “Nobody Does It Better,” 3D files of the medallion necklace and one of three King Ice limited edition anniversary medallion and necklaces (which opens up and can be used a secret stash) that will be hand-delivered to the buyer.
The second tier is priced at $10,030.30 USD and includes a limited edition 30th anniversary gold coin NFT, the exclusive audio bed and a merch bundle comprised of a Very Best of Death Row vinyl, short-sleeve and long-sleeved T-shirts, a hoodie, beanie, mug, vinyl slipmat and two masks. Lastly, cheapest option will include a 30th anniversary silver coin NFT and the exclusive audio bed, and will be priced at $30.30 USD.
Death Row Records will be releasing the 30th anniversary merchandise in late April 2021. The NFT series and merch joins the cassette tape reiussues of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me and his posthumous debut The Don Killuminati (The 7 Day Theory), which will drop on April 20.
