Candian cycling manufacturer Cervélo went back to the drawing board when it came to its latest release. Under no illusion that flat out doesn’t stay flat out for long without a helping hand from science, the brand stripped back its Áspero model. The result? Faster, lighter and better looking than ever.
A gravel bike at heart, the Áspero-5 is 32g lighter than its predecessor and boasts artfully hidden cables across the frame and a TrailMixer to ensure the measurements and handling of the bike stays consistent — which is a welcome relief on more unforgiving terrains.
Rounding out the bike is the clever split-spacers under the stem so you don’t have to re-cable your bike to adjust your fit, clearance for 45mm tires, and our new flared handlebar.
Arriving in either “Purple Sunset”, “Five Black” or “Lime Shimmer”, Cervélo’s Áspero-5 retails from $4,300 USD. Find out more about the bike and Cervélo over on its webstore.
In other news, Café du Cycliste has introduced cycling to the Cuban collar.
