The footwear and apparel design feature Mahome’s new brand identity that sees his primary signature logo mainly highlight a gladiator mask. The mask represents Mahomes’ warrior mentality while other logos continue to evoke other motifs such as a heartbeat wavelength and a clock face turned to depict 2 p.m.; the time is specific to the NFL player and a nickname he often responds to. Mahomes shares, “The gladiator mask in my logo represents the mindset of making an impact every single day. Whether it’s training in the gym, on-field practice or a game day – that’s always my mentality.”
Mahomes 1.0 IMPACT FLX training shoe comes in a vibrant solar green “Go Time” colorway and boasts a wavy design that features podded midsole and overlay pieces, design notes that are a nod to the team’s dynamic movements. With TPU overlays, the shoe gives athletes an additional sense of security and stability during quick footwork movements, while the ripstop stretch-woven upper offers greater durability and protection. The shoe follows a silhouette of a tongue-less bootie, creating a sock-like fit. In true adidas fashion, the shoe features the signature boost cushioning for extra comfort and responsiveness on the field and in training.
The collection also features a series of hoodies, long sleeve shirts, tees, joggers and shorts with the same branding for a cohesive look. The Mahomes 1.0 IMPACT FLX “Go Time” and the apparel collection are available online at adidas starting August 16.
