A Closer Look at the White Mountaineering x Paul&Shark Capsule

Following the unveiling of White Mountaineering’s Fall/Winter 2021 collaboration with Paul&Shark earlier this year, HYPEBEAST now takes a closer look at the capsule as it lands in shops across the globe.

The Yosuke Aizawa-led label — which last month showcased its Spring/Summer 2022 collection — has reworked a selection of Paul&Shark outdoor staples for this Fall/Winter 2021 collaboration, drawing inspiration from the sky, stars and the wilderness.

An all-black color palette dresses T-shirts, sweaters and pants, alongside Paul&Shark’s hero Typhoon 20000 garments. Reimagined by Aizawa and his team with detachable technical layers like Primaloft and wool, these water and wind-resistant pieces also boast an ultra-thin membrane that’s been engineered to withstand a 20-meter water column, whilst also ensuring maximum breathability too.

By combining both brands’ unique approach to design, the pair’s passion and admiration for the outdoors and the technical wear that is worn within it has resulted in a sleek modern capsule that’s fitting of the current outerwear scene.

The full White Mountaineering x Paul&Shark FW21 capsule is set to drop imminently and will be available via both the White Mountaineering and Paul&Shark webstores.

In other news, for FW21 Levi’s Made in Japan has continued to celebrate Japanese craftsmanship.
