66°North Taps Kei Toyoshima As New Creative Director

Since its 1926 founding, Iceland-based outerwear brand 66°North has been committed to providing a range of weather-ready garments. Now the brand is preparing a new design strategy with the announcement of Kei Toyoshima as its new creative director.

By tapping the Japanese designer/creative, the brand is bringing into its fold an extensive range of industry knowledge and skills. Toyoshima previously served as the Head of Menswear at Bottega Veneta and Haider Ackermann. Additionally, he has been a part of the design teams at WOOYOUNGMI, Maison Margiela, Lanvin and Coach, alongside serving as a menswear consultant for Louis Vuitton.

“I’m both honored and proud to be working with 66°North,” said Toyoshima. “There is a natural synergy between my work and the craftsmanship, quality and detail-driven execution of the garments they produce. I look forward to bringing an approachable collection accessible to all and adding additional style credentials.”
