Taylor Swift became the first female artist to win the Grammy award for album of the year three times.
The singer-songwriter was rewarded for her lockdown album Folklore. Her other albums that won the Grammy award in this category previously are Fearless in 2010 and the pop opus 1989 in 2016.
This marks Swift’s 11th career Grammy win.
Swift accepted the award wearing a floral print dress, alongside her collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner.
Her album bested fellow nominees Jhené Aiko, Black Pumas, Coldplay, Jacob Collier, HAIM, Dua Lipa and Post Malone.
Sharing her joy on Twitter, Swift said, “The fans are the reason we’re floating tonight, and we’ll never forget it.” The post was accompanied by a group photo of the team members behind Folklore.
