Steph McGovern, 38, shared her candid admission about her relationship on her afternoon show Steph’s Packed Lunch today while speaking to guests. The presenter lives in Yorkshire with her partner, whose identity is unknown, and their one-year-old daughter.
On her show, guest Marcus Brigstocke asked if she believed it was healthy to argue in a relationship.
“I think it’s healthy,” she admitted.
“Me and my partner have a rule where if you’re annoyed about something, you have to talk about it within 24 hours, otherwise you lose the right to talk about it.
“That’s a good system,” Marcus replied, seeming intrigued.

Steph added: “And then it works, it means we have some explosive rows, but things get sorted there and then.
“You can’t hold grudges and be stubborn and bring something back a week later and say, ‘When you did that last week’.”
The presenter regularly gives fans an insight into her family life on social media, but has kept her partner and baby’s identities private.
Taking to Instagram last week, she shared a humorous mishap she made during her baby’s sensory class.
Steph came unstuck when she had to take her shoes off and reveal her socks, which featured several pairs of breasts.
The presenter shared the mishap on her Instagram Story with the caption: “At a baby sensory place. Forgot I’d have to take my shoes off.
“Feel like a right t*t,” she added. “#Sockhorror”.
Steph and her partner, who is believed to be a TV executive, welcomed their first child, a daughter, together in November 2019.

The presenter recently revealed why she prefers to keep her family life out of the public eye.
She told Suzi Ruffell on her podcast Called Out: “It’s not like I’m ashamed of anything in my life.
“It’s more a case of, ‘I’m trying to lead as normal a life as I can’.”
The host went on to say her sexuality has never been a problem and that most of her colleagues knew her partner is a female.
“I just want to do my job and I know that my job comes under certain scrutiny, and profile,” Steph continued.
“I just think that the less I talk about my private life, the less I can be asked about it.”
Steph added she has “never officially come out’ as she explained she has dated both men and women.
Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays from 12.30pm on Channel 4.
