Stars turn up the glam at Jennifer Lawrence's wedding

The stars came out to play, with Emma Stone joining Kris Jenner and Sienna Miller for the wedding of Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney over the weekend.

What a shindig!

A whole heap of celebrities graced the nuptials with their presence on Saturday with Oscar-winning actress Jen said to have walked down the aisle in a Newport, Rhode Island ceremony yesterday evening wearing a Dior wedding dress, according to People.

After saying their vows, Jennifer, 29, and Cooke, 34, hosted a wedding reception at the swanky Belcourt of Newport, a stunning mansion that was designed by esteemed architect Richard Morris Hunt in 1894, and inspired by Louis XIII’s hunting lodge at Versaille.

Around 150 guests were in attendance at the reception with A-listers said to include Adele, Cameron Diaz, afore-mentioned Emma, Amy Schumer and Kris – who brought along partner Corey Gamble.

The stars were then seen walking across the green lawns of the sprawling estate with actress Sienna wowing in a crimson-red gown with the most perfectly puffed sleeves. She held onto boyfriend Lucas Zwirner as she glanced over her shoulder at the crowds hoping to catch a glimpse of the wedding party.

She was joined by La La Land’s Emma, who rocked a grey, velvet number a little reminiscent of the flapper 20s, teamed with some pearl, drop earrings.

Kris was looking pretty dang elegant as the Kardashians momager sported a black, long-sleeved dress with an intricately beaded decolletage.

Puffy sleeves were also in order for designer and former child star Ashley Olsen, who made a dramatic entrance with an extravagant black gown.

On Friday, stars such as Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted heading into the rehearsal dinner, where Jennifer and Cooke hosted their pre-wedding clambake. It was previously reported that guests would dine on a whole feast of goodies during the wedding day, including specialty cocktails such as bourbon old fashions and gin cucumber lavender champagnes.

Jennifer and Cooke, an art dealer, were first romantically linked in June 2018 and confirmed their engagement in February. Rumours of their engagement were sparked when the Hunger Games actress was seen sporting a huge ring during a romantic dinner at Raoul’s in New York City.

In September, the couple were reported to have married after they were spotted at a marriage bureau in NYC with paperwork, two security guards and a friend – potentially a witness.

It seems Jennifer always knew Cooke was ‘the one’, even if she didn’t think of marriage right away, as she told Entertainment Tonight this summer:

‘He’s the greatest human being I’ve ever met. I wasn’t at a place where I was like, “I’m ready to get married”.

‘I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other, we wanted to commit fully. He’s my best friend, so I want to legally bind him to me forever.

‘Fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favourite person on the planet, you’re like: “You can’t leave”.’
