Stacey Dooley says she is Anne of Cleves
Stacey Dooley said she’s currently is in no rush to get married saying, “it’s not important”.
In a new interview, the 36-year-old opened up about tying the knot despite explaining that she “couldn’t have” become a mother with anyone else other than with her beau.
The documentary filmmaker, who fell for 40-year-old Kevin Clifton months after they both won Strictly together, now shares a daughter with him – but she won’t be walking down the aisle anytime soon.
She also pointed out that her partner has already tied the knot three times, with his first marriage taking place when he was just 20.

“It’s well documented that Kev’s done it a couple of times before, so you do have to bear that in mind coming down the aisle,” she explained to The Sun.
“It’s just never been something I’ve dreamt about, but I couldn’t have done [motherhood] without Kev,” Stacey conceded, after giving birth to Minnie back in January.
When Kevin and Stacey first met, he had split from fellow pro dancer Karen Hauer just months earlier, while he’d previously had a three-year marriage with Clare Craze in 2007 and another three-year marriage prior to that with Latin world champion Anna Melnikova, whom he wed at just 20.

Meanwhile, the presenter spoke of the “absolute chaos” following her daughter’s birth, as Stacey added that when she broached the idea to Kevin of becoming a second-time mum, he exclaimed: “Are you nuts?”
She shared all about the rollercoaster ride motherhood has been in a special edition episode of her Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over series, titled Family and Me.
“I don’t know how people have four children. I’ve had one and am completely failing,” she said, adding she often feels as if she’s “in the trenches”.
Stacey discussed “panicking” on the first night as she struggled to get her “crying” daughter to “take the boob” and breastfeed, and also grimaced that there’d been moments of sleep deprivation.
Although the TV star has managed some gruelling routines while training for Strictly back in 2019, and has heard some harrowing stories about everything from sex trafficking to sweat-shop exploitation in her documentaries, she insists that motherhood has been her “hardest gig” to date.
“I used to think people were exaggerating and being melodramatic when they were saying how hard it is, but, honest to God, it’s the hardest gig you’ll ever do!” she exclaimed.
She added that Kevin isn’t keen on Minnie following in his dancer footsteps, even if she has an excellent sense of rhythm, as he is concerned the lifestyle is too competitive and “always about winning”.
