Sheridan Smith delighted her fans last night when she gave them a glimpse of her six-week-old son on social media and finally revealed his name. The 39-year-old singer and actress posted the picture of the adorable youngster online to mark her birthday.
Sheridan, who gave birth to her first child last month, captioned the picture: “Best birthday present I could’ve asked for!”
The photo showed the gorgeous newborn fast asleep on his fresh-faced mum, who looked completely smitten by her sleeping baby.
The TV star has only posted one other photo of the tot, who she shares with fiancé Jamie Horn.
The couple have named their son Billy, according to a fan on Instagram who heard Sheridan mention his name on the radio.
“I heard you on radio 2 with Zoe [Ball] this morning and you could feel the love for little Billy. Happy birthday xx.”
Instagram fans, followers and a host of famous faces took to the comments section to wish the new mum a happy birthday and to share their thoughts.
One user wrote: “Oh gosh, how beautiful.”
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA,” wrote Strictly star Michelle Visage, while professional dancer Luba Mushtuk posted a heart emoji.
TV presenter Gaby Roslin penned: “Happy birthday darling and what a poppet,” alongside the sweet snap.
Ex EastEnder Tracy Anne Oberman added: “Aw that’s gorgeous.”

On May 9, Sheridan announced the birth of her first child on social media, along with a close-up picture of his tiny hand holding her finger.
The post read: “Our little man has arrived! We are both completely overwhelmed with love.”
Sheridan has starred in a number of popular comedy shows over the years such as Gavin and Stacey, The Royle Family and Two Pint of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
She then turned her attention to more serious roles and impressed viewers with dramas including Mrs Biggs, Cilla and The Moorside.
During lockdown, and while heavily pregnant with her first born, Sheridan continued to work – starring in ITV coronavirus drama, Isolation Stories.
