Miley Cyrus Just Made “Santa Baby” a Feminist Anthem on ‘The Tonight Show’

To the roars of the live Tonight Show studio crowd, Miley Cyrus updated the words to the iconic Christmas classic “Santa Baby,” transforming the old-school — and teasingly sexist — Eartha Kitt song into something feminists might better appreciate.

In a skit with Jimmy Fallon and Mark Ronson, the “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” singer lounged on a chaise longue in front of set with a Christmas tree and a decorated fireplace. As she sang the song, Miley added several new bars of her own.

We have the video and some of the lyrics below.

Santa baby, I don’t need any fancy jewelry. Not me. I’ve got something else in mind.
Don’t want diamonds, cash or stocks.
Nothing that comes in a box.
No more fluff, I’ve had enough.
And I can buy my own damn stuff.

Listen, Santa, to what I say.
A girl’s best friend is … equal pay.

Santa baby, I’d love to know my ass won’t get grabbed at work. By some ignorant jerk.
Tell the dirtbag to put away the chimney tonight.
