Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard says he and Maura Higgins ‘aren’t ready’ to move in together yet

Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard has revealed that he and Maura Higgins have discussed the future – but they won’t be moving in together anytime soon.

The 23 year old professional dancer told Bang Showbiz that he had spoken about future plans with Maura, 28, but they are “taking everything as it comes”.

He added: “Right now the world is so hectic with our lifestyles.

“We are just taking it nice and chilled out and not putting any pressure on anything. Just being us.”

Despite speaking about what lies ahead for the couple, Curtis told the MirrorOnline that he and Maura aren’t ready to move in together yet.

He said: “We haven't had a conversation about moving in together or anything like that yet. It's good to take things slow.”

“You wouldn't usually move in together so soon – I've only known her for two and a half months!”

The couple’s reluctance to move in together just yet comes as their island pals, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, both 20, took the plunge and moved into a luxurious Manchester pad together last month.

Speaking about the move, Tommy told The Sun: “We're both doing marvellous things. We're both really happy. We've bought an apartment in Manchester and we're going to move in together.

What are the Love Island 2019 stars up to now?

“We're both extremely busy, but there to support each other too. It's amazing. We haven't said a cross word to each other, ever.”

The luxury Manchester pad includes a sauna, which both Molly and Tommy have shown off to their Instagram followers since moving in.

Meanwhile, Maura and Curtis, who have been dating since meeting in the Love Island villa in July this year, are still going strong despite not moving in together yet.

The couple recently put on a loved-up display at the Mirror’s Animal Hero Awards 2019 in September after spending two weeks apart to focus on separate career projects.

Since leaving the ITV2 reality show Maura has landed a stint on This Morning and was recently confirmed to be taking part in Dancing On Ice in 2020.

Speaking about her participation in the skating show when she was announced as a contestant on This Morning, Maura said: “I’ve skated once in my life for fun, so I've no experience at all. I'm up for the challenge.

“I’m more excited than scared. I'm competitive so I think that will drive me.”

Meanwhile Curtis has landed a job as a Strictly Come Dancing correspondent for Hits Radio Breakfast and has recently been announced as an ambassador for WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers.

Opening up about his struggles with weight, Curtis told OK! online: “It’s sort of something that I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve wanted to get a healthy lifestyle because my eating has been up and down all the time.

“I’ve been fat-shamed in the villa, and this and that. Obviously it's not very nice, it does affect you slightly, and that shouldn’t be happening in this day and age but, it was sort of good for me… it means I can live that healthy lifestyle now.”
