Love Island’s Claudia Fogarty’s welcome home cake came complete with huge dig at Casey

The family of recently dumped Love Island star Claudia Fogarty have poked some fun at the blonde bombshell upon her return to the UK.

Taking to Instagram this morning, the reality star's older sister Danielle Fogarty – who announced just days after Claudia entered the villa that she's expecting second child with husband Ross Worswick – shared a snap of a rib-tickling welcome home cake that she intended to present to Claudia.

The lavish-looking multi-layered desert, which featured pink and yellow frilled buttercream frosting and numerous edible baubles, made a hilarious Love Island quote its centrepiece.

In baby pink fondant icing were the words "You can't have your cake + eat it", the worlds Claudia told her ex on-screen beau Casey O'Gormon during the recent Snog, Marry, Pie challenge after he ditched her for newbie Rosie Seabrook.

"You can’t have your cake and eat it and I will be no-one’s option," she told her former flame before leaving audiences with jaws-dropped by brutally launching a huge cream pie into his face.

"@meetcutecakes_ thank you for the most amazing cake for our girl on such short notice", Danielle, 31 – who with Claudia are the daughters of former motorcycle racer and ex-I'm A Celeb winner Carl Fogarty – wrote.

A video Danielle posted later this morning showed a glittery pink welcome home banner hung upon the fireplace of what is presumably the family home, a close up of the cake and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

She captioned the video: "She's HOME [pink love heart]".

The end of the clip saw two blonde ladies in matching pyjamas – one presumably being Danielle and the other possibly being their mother Michaela – running over to a newly-arrived Claudia in the kitchen, greeting her with a huge embrace.

During her time on the show, Claudia, 28, quickly caught the attention of 26-year-old recruitment consultant Casey, the pair remaining coupled up for several weeks, despite the turbulent interlude of Casa Amor.

But there was trouble in paradise following last week's arrival new bombshell Rosie Seabrook, 24, who chose to pair up with Casey in a shock recoupling, leaving Claudia feeling second best.

During the infamous Snog, Marry, Pie challenge – which followed the dramatic recoupling – Casey chose to kiss newbie Rosie, dubbing her " a rocket" and admitting that he does find her attractive.

Prior to pieing Samie Elishi, Casey opted to 'marry' original partner Claudia saying, adding: "She’s amazing and deserves way better than me and doesn’t deserve to be an option."

During Rosie’s turn however, the brunette beauty kissed Casey back, claiming she in-turn found him "very attractive".

Claudia later chose to kiss new bombshell Keanan Brand, claiming he'd made her feel "so special since he walked in", to marry Tom Clare for having her back in the villa, and pie Casey following his antics during the challenge.

The pair called it quits during the same episode, and just days later Claudia and new partner Keanan were dumped from the villa after already-dumped contestants Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda branded them the least compatible couple.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
