Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans have released a joint statement confirming their split after a tumultuous day of reports.
Alice, 49, took to social media on Monday night to claim Ioan, 47, had left the family home, saying that he "no longer loves her" before it quickly disappeared.
She then claimed that the Liar actor had logged into her Twitter account to delete the message.
After 13 years of marriage and welcoming two daughters, the former couple have now issued a statement to confirm the end of their relationship.

In the statement, released to MailOnline, Ioan and Alice said: "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
The pair wed in 2007, and welcomed daughters Ella and Elsie in 2009 and 2013 respectively.
Alice took to Twitter on Monday night to post to her 27,500 followers in a now-deleted tweet: "Sad news

"My beloved husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week.
"Me and our young daughters girls are very confused and sad. We haven't been given a reason except that he 'no longer loves me' [sic]."
The heartbreaking message ended: "I'm so sorry," as fans rushed to console her.
