Kelsey Parker breaks silence amid ‘new romance’ as she shares Kate Ferdinand’s advice

Tom Parker's wife Kelsey Parker has opened up for the first time after it was reported she has embarked on a new romance.

The 32 year old lost her husband in March from an inoperable brain tumour when he was just 33 years old.

The mum-of-two is believed to have started a romance with an electrician, Sean Boggans, 39, whom she met earlier this year on a girls' holiday to Lindos, Rhodes.

Opening up, Kelsey revealed she has heavily relied on her friend Kate Ferdinand about "moving on", and Kate – who is married to Rio Ferdinand – has told her that she needs to do "what's right for [her]".

She added that Kate, 31, was "really good to speak to" with helping the star take steps, including getting rid of the bed she shared with Tom.

"I think if people had been through what I’ve been through over the past two years, I don’t know if they’d be smiling, because it’s been so tough. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone," Kelsey told The Sun, before adding that she is "lucky" to have met her soulmate, Tom.

"I might have gone my whole life and never met the love of my life, but I did," she said. "What we did over the 13 years that we got to spend together, people don’t get to do that in their lifetime."

She continued: "We went to Buckingham Palace. We have the most outrageous stories that we shared together. And that’s why I can’t be sad, because I got to do that with him and share that with him."

Kelsey then said that she found it difficult to grieve with people judging her for the way she's dealing with her loss.

Kelsey's new relationship may be early days, but a source told the MailOnline she is happy with someone new coming into her life.

"It's very early days and no one knows what the future will bring. For now, Kelsey is happy that someone else has come into her life," the source said.

Kelsey previously talked about her new life as a widow and single mum after saying goodbye to her husband in March.

"Evenings are so tough – the kids go to bed and it’s just me and that’s the time you speak to your partner – you gossip, you talk and I don’t have that any more," she said.

On Loose Women, host Linda Robson then asked Kelsey how she and Tom's children – Aurelia, three, and two year old Bodhi – are coping in the months following his death.

"Bodhi is just two. With Aurelia, it’s been six months, it’s very matter of fact her dad has died and now she’ll just pick things up [at home] and be like, ‘Oh that was my Dad’s.’ So she does understand," says Kelsey.

"If she sees him… obviously there’s so many photos around the house, she’ll be like, ‘Oh that’s mummy and daddy when they got married.’

"We really talk about him in the house… It’s so important to keep him alive for them.”
