Katie shared a series of videos on her Instagram story today to thank those who got in touch.

She started: “Hi everyone. I just wanted to say thanks to all of your messages.

“I’ve had to turn my phone off because I can’t see at the moment, it’s a bit sore and swollen.

“But thank you and I will read them in a few days when my swelling goes down.”

The TV presenter went on to tell her followers about her “successful” procedure after experiencing lots of “soreness” with her eye.

“I had a really successful operation. So basically I was getting lots of problems with my blind eye, lots of soreness and infection and it was because the eyelid, which was originally a skin graft had contracted, it got really tough and it shrunk. It meant my eye was no longer closing,” she explained.

“So especially at night, when I wake up in the morning, it was really uncomfortable.”

In the next clip, the Strictly Come Dancing star lifted her arm up and discussed: “So I’ve had a procedure to remove some skin from my arm, take off the old lid and remove the scar tissue and skin graft the new eyelid, which is why I’ve got the bandage on.

“And then, I’ve had a scar revision, an old skin graft on my lower lid here.”

She added: “So yeah, all successful. Just got a sore throat.”

It comes after the star revealed she was waiting to undergo surgery yesterday on her Instagram story.

While Katie was dressed in a blue gown and sitting on a hospital bed, she told her followers: “Morning, I’m in hospital because I have to have an operation on my bad eye.

The TV star went on to say: “So if anyone else has the book, please can you tag me in it and I’ll read it.”

Just minutes later, Katie posted another clip to share yesterday’s daily affirmation with her fans.

She continued: “That was quick, lots of you have sent it to me, it’s a really good one.
