R&B star Jazmine Sullivan paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston during her national anthem performance at Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
During a dress rehearsal for the national anthem, Sullivan paid tribute to Houston by wearing a white track suit similar to the one Houston wore thirty years earlier during her memorable performance.
Sullivan also performed the National Anthem alongside country star Eric Church wearing a headdress similar to the one Houston wore in the film The Bodyguard.
At Super Bowl XXV in 1991, Houston wore a red-white-and-blue track suit and performed “The Star Spangled Banner” in front of a live orchestra. Houston’s performance is considered to be one of the best performances of the national anthem to date.
