Harry Redknapp admits he’s still in touch with son Jamie’s ex Louise after split

After being crowned the King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Harry Redknapp has been musing about the split in his family that is still hurting a year later.

The 71-year-old football legend has spoken out about his son Jamie’s split from Louise, after nearly two decades of marriage.

It is the first time that Harry has shared his views in public about the shock break-up of one of the sturdiest celebrity marriages of their generation.

Jamie, 45, and Louise, 44, were seemingly going along nicely until the former Eternal singer’s time on Strictly Come Dancing, when the dreaded curse struck.

The Sun has reported that Harry described the split as a, "big blow" for the family and that it was, "very difficult for us, it was a choker."

Speaking about his former daughter-in-law, Harry also reaffirmed that he and his wife Sandra, still ‘loved’ Louise and were on good terms with her.

Louise is the mother of their grandsons Charley, 13, and Beau, nine and Harry said that his relationship with her is "amicable" and that Sandra was talking to Louise’s mum, "all the time."

Harry has not been shy in speaking about a possible romance between one of his fellow campmates and Jamie.

The former football manager had originally said that Inbetweeners star Emily Atack ‘didn’t stand a chance with Jamie’.

Once out of the jungle though, Harry changed his mind after the 28-year-old had had a chance to wash off the jungle grime.

When asked about her chances with Jamie, Harry said, "I thought, ‘No, you ain’t got a prayer. But I’ve seen her today when she’s scrubbed up and she looks alright, I’m telling you. She looks very useful, she looks good."
