We’re just a few months away from King Charles III’s coronation ceremony, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attendance is still up in the air.
In People’s Feb. 8 cover story, a palace insider tells the publication that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will, indeed, be invited to the event. However, a source close to the couple told the outlet that they have yet to receive an invite and that there hasn’t been any effort made toward reconciliation. Reps for Buckingham Palace and Harry and Markle did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment.
Charles’s coronation is expected to take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London. Buckingham Palace announced on Oct. 11, 2022, that the coronation ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and that Queen Consort Camilla will also be crowned alongside her husband. “The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry,” the Palace added.
