Harry and Meghan share unseen family pics from Frogmore Cottage when they celebrated Lilibet’s birthday

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared new photos of the family on daughter Lilibet’s first birthday, as the trailer for the second instalment of their Netflix series is released.

The couple revealed the new photos in the latest preview of their Netflix series, which follows Harry and Meghan as they leave their life as working royals and set up a new life in California.

Although their visits to the UK since leaving have been scarce, the family did spend a brief weekend in London for Queen’s Jubilee in May this year, bringing with them their son Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, who turned one in June.

In one photo, the couple can be seen walking through the garden at Frogmore Cottage in formal attire, while Lilibet is on dad’s shoulders and Archie is held close to mum’s chest.

In another photo, Harry and Meghan are seen gazing lovingly at each other in the kitchen.

Harry is seen wearing a crisp white shirt and black trousers, while Megan wears a white blouse and a long floral skirt.

Another sweet moment from the trailer shows Lilibet learning to walk, as Meghan holds her daughter up as she takes her first steps.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended two events to mark the late Queen’s 70 year reign earlier this year – the Trooping of the Colour and St Paul's Thanksgiving Service – however they kept a low profile and did not have an official role in the celebrations.

However, it’s thought that Harry and Meghan held a relaxed gathering to celebrate Lilibet’s first birthday in the garden of Frogmore Cottage that weekend, including picnic food, party games, balloons and a cake.

Mike and Zara Tindall’s three children eight year old Mia, three year old Lena and one year old Lucas, as well as Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly’s two daughters 11 year old Savannah and Isla, ten, were said to be invited to the event.

Meanwhile, Lilibet's cousins Prince George and Princess Charlotte were out and about with their parents Kate Middleton and Prince William on Saturday, as they visited Cardiff Castle and had front row seats for the Party at the Palace for the Queen's Jubilee.

Sources told The Sun at the time: “It was a lovely do and had everything you’d expect from a child’s birthday party.

"But there was no formal entertainment. The idea was for it to be very relaxed and casual, with people free to pop in and out as they wished.

“It was a nice opportunity for the other royal children to meet Lilibet for the first time.”

The new photos were included in Harry and Meghan's documentary for the second part of their Netflix series, which will see three new episodes released by the streaming service.

The royal couple are due to drop the second set of their shocking documentary series this week, which looks into their departure from life as working royals in 2020.

“I wonder what would have happened to us, had we not got out when we did…” Harry says in the trailer.

While Meghan adds: “I wasn’t being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves…”

In a dig at the royal family and Prince William, Harry accuses the royals of “institutional gaslighting”.

In another clip, which does not explain to whom it refers, the duke says: “They were happy to lie to protect my brother. They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”
