Gwyneth Paltrow says Apple Martin ‘made me the woman I am today’

Gwyneth Paltrow marked International Women’s Day on March 8 with a moving homage to Apple Martin, the 17-year-old daughter she shares with ex, Chris Martin. “Happy international womens day. I’ve been spending the morning thinking about all of the incredible women I love, who love me back hard,” Gwyneth wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Apple. “I keep thinking about the women I have known since kindergarten or 7th grade, who are more strongly in my life than almost ever. But today I want to pay tribute to one (technically almost) woman on the cusp of it,” she continued in the loving post. “This woman gives me hope for the future of sisterhood, and for the future of our planet. And this woman has made me the woman I am today more than anyone else.” Blake Shelton also took a moment out of his day on March 8 to celebrate the most special woman in his life — his wife, Gwen Stefani. “There ain’t #NobodyButYou.. Happy #InternationalWomensDay to the best woman I know!” Blake gushed to Gwen on the ‘Gram. Hugh Jackman chimed in as well, sharing a video that showed him thanking “all the incredible women in my life,” starting with his wife and other loved ones. “Happy International Women’s Day. Let’s face it, you all make the world a much better place!” he captioned the post.

Maren Morris, Stella Parton react to Morgan Wallen’s big ACM win

Country music fans reacted with mixed feelings on Twitter after Morgan Wallen took home the Album of the Year Award for “Dangerous: The Double Album” at this week’s Academy of Country Music Awards on March 8. The singer’s big win comes after he was banned by multiple awards shows, had his label contract suspended and saw his music yanked from multiple radio stations as a result of a video that surfaced last year that showed him yelling a racial slur. Though he later apologized and checked into rehab — he said he’d been on a days-long bender — he also vowed to “do better,” something critics say he’s failed to follow through on. When his name was announced at the ceremony in Las Vegas, Morgan’s country singing peer, Maren Morris, notably refused to clap or stand amid the wild applause. Dolly Parton’s sister, Stella Parton, also a singer and actress, commented in more explicit terms about Morgan’s win on Twitter on March 9, saying her “only complaint” about the ACM Awards was that “Morgan Wallen was rewarded for his bad boy behavior.” She added, “It’s always been that way,” later adding, “A female would have been thrown under the bus for a h*** of a lot less but it’s the good ole boy way!🥺🥺🥺.” Other fans who opposed the win posted sentiments like “country music has no problem celebrating racism – that’s been a huge backbone of the genre even though it was built off the backs of Africans & Black people’s music,” while Morgan’s supporters defended his win. Some fans landed in the middle of that spectrum, with one asking, “Should he have said it?? Absolutely not!! He should not pay for that mistake for the rest of his life either.” Morgan, for his part, said nothing about the racism scandal or subsequent reports he failed to follow through on promised donations to organizations supporting racial equality and justice. Instead, he thanked those who he said have “shown me grace along the way.” As Morgan himself said on “Good Morning America” last year, his album sales spiked after news leaked of his use of the N-word. “Dangerous” eventually became the top-selling album of 2021, across all genres, according to Billboard.

Shailene Woodley, Aaron Rodgers spotted in Florida together following split

Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers’ post-split reunion continues. Amid speculation the formerly engaged stars have rekindled their romance, the two were spotted exiting a private jet in Palm Beach, Florida, together on March 8. According to TMZ, they spent a few hours there before leaving together on the same plane. While they kept things platonic while in public together in Florida, they were reportedly spotted holding hands at Aaron’s Green Bay Packers teammate’s wedding in California over the weekend, suggesting they’re giving the relationship another go. Aaron’s recent, gushing praise for Shailene on “The Pat McAfee Show” and on Instagram have also fueled reunion rumors. Shailene, however, has reportedly stopped wearing her engagement ring. “They are testing the waters,” an insider recently told E! News. “Since he’s been off [from work], they have been able to take some time to work on their relationship and try to figure things out. They are going to continue trying to do that and see what happens.” The source added.

Kanye West says he’s ‘dead’ in dark, new poem

After posting a poem entitled “Divorce” on social media, Kanye West returned to Instagram on March 8 with a second bit of dark verse that reads like a follow-up. The latest poem is called “Dead,” and sees Kanye discovering he’s no longer alive after having been murdered. “No one wanted to tell me I was DEAD,” the poem begins. It goes on to describe visitors feeding birds at his grave and more, then shifts into references to the four children he shares with his ex, Kim Kardashian, who was declared legally single last week amid their ongoing divorce — and Kim’s new romance with Pete Davidson. “I found out one day at the newsstand in purgatory there was a front page article of my murderer’s story,” writes Kanye, who recently released a video for “Eazy” in which he buries a claymation Pete alive. In the caption, Ye, as he’s now legally named, reiterated his previously shared idea that “art is therapy,” seemingly in response to backlash over the video. “I feel already compromised that I have to justify my expression after over 20 years of art that I’ve contributed to the planet but I also see the need to make sure we as a species are allowed to still feel anything,” he captioned the poem. “Men not allowed to cry celebrities not allowed to cry I will not explain this new piece for the explanation destroys the mystery and magic of true love and puts it in a box that can be counted. Art is subjective,” he continued, in part. “… Someone’s truth can be another persons lie We don’t all have to feel the same because we are not the same.” In court filings, Kim told the judge overseeing her divorce from Kanye that his social media posts have featured “misinformation” about their family.

Michael Cera confirms baby’s age, sex after Amy Schumer’s accidental reveal

Michael Cera shared a few more details about his new baby in an interview with “Extra” this week, days after his “Life of Beth” costar Amy Schumer accidentally went public with his stork news. The stars were talking to Entertainment Tonight last week when Amy, who has a 2-year-old son, said “Michael has a baby, too,” before realizing she’d “just outed” the notoriously private actor. Speaking to “Extra,” the two were chatting about “Expecting Amy,” the documentary Amy recently made about her difficult pregnancy experience, when Michael was asked about the new addition he shares with his partner, Nadine. “He’s just a little 6-month-old baby,” Michael said, confirming his son’s age and sex for the first time. “Actually, watching Amy’s documentary, I was just shocked …,” he continued. “Like, I already had a very strong appreciation… of what women go through, but, you know, you can only have a distant outsider, you know, appreciation for it.” He didn’t say much more about his little one in either interview, though he told ET he and Nadine are “right at the beginning of” parenthood. “We’re doing the very basics right now,” he said.
