Gogglebox’s Tom Malone Jr takes on ‘uncle duties’ as he cradles brother’s baby

Tom Malone Jr has become an uncle once again as the Malone family continues to grow.

The former Gogglebox star and dancer posted some incredibly cute snaps of him cradling his nephew, after it was revealed his brother, Lee, had recently welcomed his first son with wife, Sarah.

“Grayson Cade Malone. Welcome to the world little man,” he wrote. “Congratulations to Lee and Sarah on the birth of their happy, healthy little boy. So happy for you guys #UncleDuties.”

Tom Jr is already a doting uncle to his sister Vanessa’s three young children, Saoirse, Brogan and Carsen, and his brother Shaun’s baby son, Louis.

He often shares snaps of himself with his nieces and nephews on Instagram with the #UncleDuties hashtag.

The most recent addition to the Gogglebox family’s ever-increasing brood was first revealed by Lee on Instagram.

“Welcome to the team son,” he wrote, captioning a photo of him taking his little boy home from St Mary’s Hospital in Manchester last week.

His parents, Tom and Julie, were quick to share in the happiness of becoming grandparents for the fifth time, commenting “Team Malone” underneath the photo.

The arrival of Grayson, born on 30 October, comes just a few months after Lee and Sarah married in a small ceremony in Manchester back in April this year.

Tom Jr posted a few photos of the happy couple on his Instagram, revealing the news they were expecting a new addition to the family.

“A massive congratulations to my older brother Lee and his new wife, Sarah!!! Welcome to the family!!! And as a combo deal we don’t just get one new Malone… they’re expecting another one in November!!!”

Lee is the only member of the Malone family to have never appeared on Gogglebox, unlike his parents and siblings, with Tom Jr revealing earlier this year he had quit the show.

He’d appeared on the Channel 4 hit with his parents for six years while working off-screen as a dancer and choreographer.

He admitted he had concerns his parents would be booted off the show if he left.

He told The Sun: “It was a long, long stretch and for me it was never the end goal to be on Gogglebox. It was nice while it lasted and I had a really great time but I just felt like it was the right time to try other opportunities while I am young enough to enjoy them all properly.”
