Gogglebox's Amy Tapper has heartbreakingly revealed that she’s been dieting since she was eight years old.

The 21 year old star has been open about her weight loss journey and has now lost an impressive three stone and seven lbs.

Amy, who shot to fame on the hit Channel 4 show along with her family when she was 13, says she has finally "cracked the code" amid her weight loss and admits that she has "tried and tested every diet under the sun" over the years.

In a new interview, she told The Sun: "I have tried and tested every diet under the sun but my weight has been a battle since I was eight years old."

Discussing the different diets and food restriction she has tried over the years from a young age, Amy continued: "Since then, every year was a different diet for me. I started with Slimming World then did shakes and bars. I have done no carbs and have just lived off chicken and veg."

Amy says she has had conflicting advice from nutritionists and personal trainers throughout the years, as she struggled with her weight because of her "slow metabolism".

After losing three stone from her size 20 frame and feeling better then ever, Amy said: "It has been an ongoing battle but I think I have finally cracked the code."

The Celebs Go Dating successfully shed the pounds after following a food plan and doing YouTube dance workouts in lockdown.

She has been giving her fans updates and tips on her weight loss journey and while she looks amazing, she has been targeted by some nasty trolls.

In one Instagram post about her weight loss at the beginning of the year, Amy wrote: "New Year New Goals!

"I’ve been on my health and weight loss journey for a while now and despite lockdown I’m feeling the best I’ve felt physically in ages so just wanted to share a recent pic against one of my before photos from last year!"

While many praised her for being open about her journey, some vile trolls targeted her over the pictures. However, she hit back on her Instagram Story.

The star – who has revealed she is looking for love – wrote: "My worst thing is backhanded compliments.

"Like just compliment someone if you're gonna compliment them. Don't be like 'well done another 3 stone to go' because when you think about it that's more of an insult than a compliment.

"Especially if you don't actually personally know me," she added.
