Emeli and her ex husband, marine biologist Adam Gouraguine, were in a relationship for more than a decade before tying the knot in 2012.

Two years later, the star confirmed their divorce.

Emeli went on to tell the publication that having "true love" in her life is like the final piece in a jigsaw puzzle and makes everything else fit into place too.

After nearly a decade of being mostly single, the singer revealed that she finally feels "very fulfilled".

She also explained it can be really "difficult" not having someone to support you through your life and career.

"I’ll always love music and I love my career but now it just feels that despite what happens, I can just enjoy life and be really happy," the star added.
