Hollywood actor Elliot Page, 34, has taken to Instagram to show off his ripped abs in his “first swimming trunks” photo. The star posted the smiling picture for his 5.2 million fans to see after talking to Oprah Winfrey about undergoing “life-changing” surgery last year.
Trans bb’s first swim trunks
Captioning the picture, he wrote: “Trans bb’s first swim trunks #transjoy #transisbeautiful.”
In the snap, the Umbrella Academy actor donned a pair of dark red swimming trunks, a baseball cap and aviator sunglasses.
The star was grinning from ear to ear as he enjoyed the day swimming in the sunshine.
Elliot’s celebrity friends were quick to comment on his post in support, telling the actor how incredible he looked.
A-lister and Hunger Games actress Julianne Moore wrote: “Happy summer @elliotpage”
Singer Miley Cyrus simply wrote, “Hot”, along with a red heart emoji.
Orange Is The New Black actress Ruby Rose added: “You look phenomenal!!!”
While Oprah Winfrey’s sister account Oprah Daily penned: “This looks like an ad for happiness.”
However, for many fans, the focus was on the actor’s incredible physique.
One follower wrote: “Bro. the abs?!? the smile?!? 10/10.”
Another added: “BRO YOU’RE RIPPED JESUS.”
A third penned: “Sir your ABS.”
In October 2020 Elliot posted an open letter to his Instagram account coming out as trans.
He wrote: “I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot.
“I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.”
The star went on to admit that he felt “overwhelming gratitude” towards the people who had supported him as he pursued his “authentic self.”
Two months later the actor spoke to Oprah Winfrey at length about going public with the news.
He said: “I was expressing this to people in my life much before posting that letter and telling people for the first time and knowing I wanted a moment to become comfortable in myself and to be able to get to that point.
Elliot added: “For me, in this time we’re in right now and especially with this horrible backlash we’re seeing towards trans people, particularly trans youth, it really felt imperative to do so.”
