Dave Grohl, Greg Kurstin Cover Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ For ‘Hanukkah Sessions’

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin shared the second installment in their “Hanukkah Sessions” video series on Friday.

The duo offered up a cover of “Hotline Bling,” the lead single from Drake’s 2016 album, Views.

Grohl and Kurstin had announced that they are going to celebrate Hanukkah by recording eight songs by eight famous Jewish artists on each night of the Festival of Lights.

Hanukkah, a Jewish festival, started at sunset on Thursday. The video series kicked off with a cover of the Beastie Boys classic “Sabotage.”

“You might be surprised to learn that this superstar is… Canadian. He’s never hidden the fact that he was M.O.T. … so a generation of Jewish parents could tell their kids ‘if Drake took the time to study for HIS Bar Mitzvah, you can too.’ Ladies and gentlemen…challah at your boy….DRAKE!” the duo said in a note accompanying the video.
